Job Overview:

  • We are seeking a passionate and creative Artist Intern for a 1-2 month paid internship. The ideal candidate will have a foundation in painting and/or drawing. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional setting and develop their artistic skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the creation of original artworks, illustrations, and designs.
  • Help with preparing materials for exhibitions, presentations, or other visual displays.
  • Support in maintaining and organizing art supplies and workspaces.
  • Participate in feedback sessions to refine and improve artistic work.
  • Potential to assist in digital art tasks such as sketching, and painting (optional).
  • Procure and purchase frames and run errands.

Requirements:

  • Artistic skills: Background in traditional painting or drawing.
  • Strong interest in developing artistic skills and exploring new creative techniques.
  • Ability to take direction and work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Open to constructive feedback and willing to iterate on designs.
  • Strong attention to detail and creativity.
  • Prior experience or education in art, design, or a related field is a plus.

Preferred Skills (Optional but a bonus):

  • Familiarity with digital drawing tools like Adobe Illustrator.
  • Knowledge of various art forms or techniques (e.g., sculpture, mixed media).
  • Experience with art exhibitions, public installations, or community art projects.
