Position Overview:
- We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented IT Administrator & Cybersecurity Associate Intern to join our team. In this dual role, you will gain hands-on experience in IT management while supporting our cybersecurity initiatives. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about technology, eager to learn, and interested in safeguarding our digital assets.
Responsibilities:
IT Administration:
- Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of IT systems and networks.
- Support troubleshooting and resolve hardware and software issues for staff.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across systems.
- Monitor system performance and implement necessary updates and patches.
- Maintain documentation of IT processes, configurations, and user manuals.
Cybersecurity:
- Assist in monitoring security incidents and analyzing potential threats.
- Support the implementation of security measures and protocols to protect sensitive data.
- Participate in vulnerability assessments and risk analysis.
- Help maintain compliance with security policies and regulations.
- Contribute to employee training on cybersecurity awareness and best practices.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field
- Basic understanding of IT administration concepts, including networking and system management
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles, tools, and frameworks is a plus
- Knowledge of programming languages or scripting (Python, Bash, etc.) is an advantage
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment
