About the job
- We are looking for a talented Backend Engineer with expertise in Python to join our development team.
- As a Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the server-side logic, databases, and ensuring the performance and responsiveness of our applications.
- You will collaborate closely with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to build scalable and efficient systems.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain efficient and reusable server-side applications using Python.
- Design and implement robust APIs and backend services to support web and mobile applications.
- Manage and optimize databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Ensure the security and scalability of backend systems.
- Monitor and optimize application performance to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Write automated tests to ensure high-quality, bug-free code.
- Stay updated on backend technologies, frameworks, and best practices to improve development processes.
Requirements and Skills:
- Proven experience as a Backend Engineer with at least 3-5 years of hands-on development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python and its web frameworks, such as Django.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools such as Git.
- Knowledge of cloud services is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues across the stack.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
