Purpose Statement
- We are seeking a skilled BI/data analyst to join our team. As a BI/Data Analyst, you will be responsible for managing our data sets, developing reports, and troubleshooting data issues. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in data analysis and possess a keen attention to detail. You should also have a deep understanding of popular data analysis tools and databases, and the ability to utilize data to inform strategy and decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies to optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive data warehousing strategy to efficiently store, organize, and manage large volumes of data from various sources. This includes designing data models, data integration processes, and data governance policies to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security.
- Build robust and scalable ETL pipelines to extract data from diverse sources, transform it into a consistent format, and load it into the data warehouse. These pipelines should handle complex data transformations, data cleansing, and data enrichment tasks to ensure data readiness for analysis and reporting.
- Conduct data and statistical analysis to design efficient operating systems with maximum optimization.
- Design dashboards and data summaries for technical and non-technical audiences, facilitating the implementation of business strategies and missions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and designers, to identify growth opportunities and develop data strategies that drive product innovation and acquisition.
- Be the owner of analytics for key metrics such as conversion rate, visitor segmentation, time to conversion, referrals, etc.
- Communicate complex analytical findings in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, influencing strategic decision-making at all levels of the organization.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competition, emerging technologies, and best practices in growth analytics, ensuring our team remains at the forefront of innovation.
- Develop, report, and analyze key KPIs to understand trends and behaviors that directly impact growth.
- Promote data fluency and data-informed decision-making throughout the organization.
- Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams to ensure proper event tracking and measurement of features, experiments, and products.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related role.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Metabase).
- Strong knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
- Familiarity with Python or R for statistical analysis and data modeling.
- Experience with Metabase, Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar tracking tools.
- Understanding of A/B testing methodologies and experimentation frameworks.
- Ability to manage and analyze large datasets efficiently.
- Ability to provide data-driven insights to support decision-making across teams.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
