Job Purpose:

  • The Business Development Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing a team dedicated to driving sales and business growth in cloud and automation solutions. This role involves developing and executing sales strategies, managing team performance, fostering client relationships, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of business development executives focused on cloud and automation solutions.
  • Set clear objectives and performance expectations, providing ongoing coaching and support to team members.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and develop individual growth plans for team members.

Strategic Planning & Execution:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive business growth in cloud and automation solutions.
  • Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitive landscape to refine sales strategies.
  • Oversee the identification and qualification of new leads and sales opportunities.

Sales & Business Development:

  • Engage with prospective clients to understand their cloud and automation requirements and present tailored solutions.
  • Manage high-value client accounts, leading contract negotiations and closing deals.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to create effective go-to-market strategies and promotional materials.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to address service issues and ensure successful implementation of solutions.
  • Gather and analyze client feedback to enhance product offerings and services.

Collaboration & Reporting:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, technical, and product development, to align on objectives and strategies.
  • Report on team performance, sales activities, pipeline development, and forecasts to senior management.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and seminars to promote cloud and automation solutions.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Team sales performance and achievement of targets
  • Number of new clients acquired and retention rates
  • Revenue growth from cloud and automation solutions
  • Client satisfaction and feedback ratings
  • Market share expansion within the cloud and automation sector

Skills & Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in business development or sales, specifically in cloud computing and automation solutions.
  • Prior experience in a leadership role, managing and developing sales teams.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building abilities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales reporting tools.

Preferred:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and automation tools, along with relevant certifications.
