About the Job
- As a Cinematographer, you will work closely with the Production Lead, Growth, and Marketing team, and other key stakeholders, providing compelling imagery and high-quality video content that reflects the AltSchool Africa brand and ambition.
- The ideal candidate will be passionate about storytelling through visual media and possess a keen eye for detail.
Job Details
- Collaborate with the Production lead and other key stakeholders to understand the creative vision and requirements of each project.
- Plan and execute the visual aspects of the film, including shot composition, lighting, camera movement, and framing.
- Select appropriate camera equipment, lenses, filters, and lighting setups to achieve the desired look and feel.
- Direct the camera and lighting crew during filming, ensuring adherence to the established visual style and technical standards.
- Maintain and operate camera equipment, ensuring proper functionality and optimal image quality.
- Stay current with industry trends, techniques, and technology to continually improve skills and capabilities.
- Manage the post-production process, including color grading and editing, to ensure the final product meets the artistic vision and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with the production team to adhere to deadlines.
Requirements
- Knowledge of visual effects techniques and post-production workflows.
- Proven experience as a Cinematographer in film, television, or digital media productions.
- Proficiency in visual storytelling, composition, and lighting techniques.
- In-depth knowledge of camera equipment, lenses, filters, and other technical tools used in cinematography.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and production conditions.
