We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Cloud Business Development Specialist to spearhead Cloud Solution Sales in Nigeria, with a focus on FinTech, OTT and Enterprise sectors. This role requires a deep understanding of Public Cloud platforms (Huawei Cloud, AWS, Azure, GCP), local enterprise dynamics and a proven ability to close complex deals.

The ideal candidate will have strong networks within Nigeria’s leading digital-native businesses and the ability to drive cloud adoption across diverse industries.

  • Cloud Business Development Expertise: Identify, Nurture, Close complex enterprise deals, Stakeholder Management, working with C-suite Executives, technical teams

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Identify, develop and manage high-impact cloud business opportunities with key clients across Nigeria, especially within Fintech, E-commerce, Media, OTT and Banking sectors.
  • Own and drive the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, aligned with Huawei Cloud's strategic objectives.
  • Lead customer engagement strategies, PoC delivery, technical discussions, and migration planning for public cloud adoption.
  • Build and maintain strong C-level and technical relationships to drive adoption of IaaS, PaaS, AI/ML, Big Data, and other Huawei Cloud solutions.
  • Translate business needs into technical cloud solutions, working with internal presales, engineering, and support teams.
  • Drive joint go-to-market plans, local enablement sessions, and partner ecosystem engagement.
  • Execute business development activities to expand Huawei Cloud’s footprint within OTT and cloud-native companies

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED

  • 5–7 years of experience in Cloud Sales, Enterprise IT or Cloud Solution Architecture, with a strong track record in driving business growth.
  • Solid working knowledge of public cloud platforms, including Huawei Cloud, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Comfortable navigating modern cloud architectures: IaaS, PaaS, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), AI, IoT, disaster recovery, cloud security.
  • Hands-on understanding of cloud migration, hybrid environments and PoC implementation processes.
  • Experience engaging with clients in digital-first industries: fintech, banking, e-commerce, media, and the broader enterprise space.
  • Able to unpack complex business needs and match them with technical cloud solutions that deliver real value.
  • Confident managing senior stakeholders, including C-suite and technical leads, and experienced in running high-level presentations and solution discussions.
  • Previous work with or for a cloud service provider, OEM, or top-tier systems integrator/reseller will be a strong advantage.
  • Background in data centre or IT transformation projects will be beneficial.
  • A self-starter with strong commercial awareness, proposal writing experience, and a collaborative approach to business development and customer success.
