  • The Configuration & Asset Management Leader is responsible for ensuring comprehensive documentation, tracking, management, and updates of all company-owned hardware and software.
  • This role involves assisting in the implementation of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and leading day-to-day activities related tdata quality and integration.
  • Additionally, the leader will oversee the tactical execution of asset management processes, ensuring seamless coordination with configuration management.
  • The role is reporting tService Management Platform Manager and will work in close collaboration with CMDB Product Manager.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Chair meetings with stakeholders tdiscuss data integration sources
  • Facilitate communication and engage business and IT management tpromote configuration and asset management efforts and their value proposition

Data Integration & Management:

  • Manage data integration with other tools
  • Lead daily meetings with the Discovery team taddress any issues
  • Oversee day-to-day meetings with vendors

System & Product Lifecycle Management:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the system/product lifecycle, including phases and challenges associated with system engineering in a delivery-focused, commercially successful organization

Process & Policy Development:

  • Develop and maintain configuration and asset management processes, policies, and work instructions
  • Create and manage the Configuration Management Plan/Technical Design Plan
  • Identify CM (Configuration Management) and asset management requirements covering system, hardware, software, and data/information needs

Compliance & Audits:

  • Track compliance with policies and procedures, resolving or escalating any compliance issues
  • Facilitate configuration and asset management audits

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Review and publish configuration and asset management reports
  • Analyze configuration and asset issues and propose appropriate resolutions

Data Quality & Security:

  • Maintain data quality, integrity, and security within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
  • Assist in the development, management, maintenance, enhancement, and automation of configuration and asset management tools
  • Software Delivery Oversight:
  • Oversee the delivery of software applications in test and deployment environments
  • Participate in Change Management reviews

Asset Management:

  • Ensure all company assets (hardware and software) are accurately tracked and managed
  • Develop and maintain asset management policies and procedures
  • Oversee asset lifecycle management, from acquisition tdisposal
  • Conduct regular asset audits tverify inventory accuracy and compliance
  • Coordinate with procurement for asset acquisitions and vendor management
  • Implement and manage tools for asset tracking and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with licensing agreements and optimize license usage

ARE THESE YOUR SECRET INGREDIENTS?

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in configuration and asset management, including hands-on experience with ServiceNow CMDB maintenance
  • Proficiency with the ServiceNow platform, particularly in CMDB and asset management modules
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of ITIL v4 practices
  • Experience with automated discovery tools and data integration
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English
  • Preferred: Certifications in ServiceNow, ITIL v4 framework
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability tsolve complex problems
  • Broad knowledge of IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networks
  • Ability tadapt tchanging business needs and technological advancements
  • Proactive approach in identifying opportunities for improvement and driving continuous improvement initiatives
  • Customer-focused with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction and the ability tunderstand and address customer needs
