Position Overview
- We are seeking a talented Cyber Security Engineer to oversee and manage our cybersecurity solutions and ensure the protection of Lily Hospitals' IT infrastructure from cyber threats.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining robust security measures to safeguard sensitive information and prevent unauthorized access.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive cybersecurity policies and procedures to protect Lily Hospitals' IT infrastructure.
- Monitor network traffic for signs of unauthorized access or suspicious activity and take appropriate action to mitigate security risks.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and address potential weaknesses in our systems.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure that security measures are integrated into new systems and applications from the outset.
- Investigate security incidents and breaches, and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest cybersecurity threats and trends, and implement best practices to protect Lily Hospitals' data and systems.
- Provide training and support to staff on cybersecurity awareness and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2 - 3 years experience in incident detection & response.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent certification preferred.
- Proven experience working in a cybersecurity role, preferably in a healthcare or similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.
- Experience with network security, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and vulnerability management tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and respond effectively to security incidents.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
