Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development:
- Craft comprehensive training materials, including lesson plans, presentations, assignments, and assessments, covering diverse cybersecurity topics.
- Provide practical and industry based contents.
Instruction and Training:
- Bring the learning experience to life by building community and enhancing relevance by drawing on your own industry experience
- Translate complex subject matter in a clear and concise manner for a diverse range of learners or skill levels.
- Ensure that homework is graded on-time, and occasionally assist with grading
- Cultivate a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters active participation and open discussions.
- Prepare and guide students in industry recognized certificates & exams.
Skill Development:
- Provide personalized or group coaching to hone students’ practical skills in ethical hacking, penetration testing, incident response, network security, lap testing etc.
- Offer guidance on effectively utilizing cybersecurity tools and technologies.
Assessment and Feedback:
- Evaluate student progress through diverse methods like assignments, projects, quizzes, and exams.
- Offer constructive feedback to help students identify their strengths and areas for growth.
Mentorship:
- Guide and mentor students aspiring for a cybersecurity career, helping them set goals and chart their professional path.
- Share industry insights, job opportunities, and the importance of relevant certifications.
- Provide post training internship support and mentorship.
Qualifications:
- Post secondary degree/certifications in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- A positive attitude and a self starter
- Relevant industry certifications (CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH, CISM, or equivalent).
- 3+ years of experience practicing or teaching cybersecurity.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience in cybersecurity practices, tools, and technologies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
