Job Overview
- We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Officer to lead our efforts in protecting our organization's information systems, networks, data, and network security infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, risk management, network security technologies, and compliance within the fintech industry.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive security policies, procedures, and protocols
- Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and risk analysis to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions
- Monitor and analyze security alerts, events, and incidents to ensure timely and effective response
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure secure design, development, and deployment of fintech applications
- Manage and oversee access control systems, ensuring proper user authentication and authorization
- Conduct security training and awareness programs for employees to promote a culture of security within the organization
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS)
- Respond to and investigate security breaches, incidents, and other threats, providing detailed reports and recommendations for improvement
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies
Network Security Responsibilities:
- Design and implement network security measures to prevent unauthorized access, detect threats, and respond to incidents
- Configure and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection systems, VPNs, and other network security devices
- Develop and implement network segmentation strategies to isolate sensitive areas
- Conduct network vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Monitor network activity to identify potential security threats
- Collaborate with incident response teams to respond to security incidents
- Develop and maintain network security policies and procedures
Specifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a security-focused role, preferably within the fintech industry
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, protocols, and best practices
- Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, encryption, and endpoint protection
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001)
- Strong knowledge of network security technologies and protocols (e.g. firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, etc.)
- Experience with network architecture and design
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or similar are highly desirable
- Good knowledge of AWS technologies and Linux is a plus
