Job Summary
- We are looking for a detail oriented and proactive individual with a good knowledge of cybersecurity principles and regulatory requirements, to ensure information security programmes are in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and policies to minimise or eliminate risk and audit findings.
- S/he will develop business-relevant metrics to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of the programmes, facilitate appropriate resource allocation and enhance the maturity of the security and compliance programmes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures;
- Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements;
- Monitor and report effectiveness of security controls and governance processes;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure implementation of effective cybersecurity controls in accordance to ISO 27001:2022 standard;
- Assist in development and delivery of cybersecurity awareness and training programmes;
- Support incident response activities and assist in investigation of security breaches;
- Stay updated with latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies;
- Participate in development of security metrics and dashboards for executive reporting;
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., NDPR, ISO 27001);
- Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on cybersecurity governance issues;
- Management of all passwords e.g. Reset and admin privilege control and X-Gen User administration and reporting.
Person Specification & Required Qualification (s)
- HND/bachelor’s degree in Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or any related discipline
- 2- 5 years’ cognate post NYSC experience in Cybersecurity Governance, Information Security, Risk Management, or Compliance.
- Familiarity with cloud security frameworks and tools.
- Experience within the Financial Services sector will be an added advantage
- Experience in managing/working with senior stakeholders will be a distinct advantage.
