Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and driven Cybersecurity Intern to join our team as an NYSC Intern. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn and contribute to our cybersecurity initiatives, helping to protect our organization's digital assets. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a rapidly evolving field and work with experienced professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in monitoring and analyzing security alerts and incidents to identify potential threats.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of security measures and tools.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses.
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of security policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Participate in security awareness training and education programs for employees.
  • Help with incident response efforts, including documentation and reporting.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technology solutions.

Requirements:

  • Currently undergoing NYSC with a background in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, including risk management, threat analysis, and incident response.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
  • Knowledge of security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, antivirus software, SIEM).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
