Objective:

The primary goal of the Data Entry Clerk is to efficiently and accurately input data or information into relevant databases or platforms and document management systems. This role is critical in ensuring integrity and the smooth operation of data handling within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately input data into Creative MEDAL platform and other databases as specified.
  • Verify the accuracy of data before entry and make necessary corrections.
  • Convert paper documents into electronic formats.
  • Organize and maintain digital documents for easy access and retrieval.
  •  Conduct regular quality checks to ensure the integrity of data.
  • Identify and rectify inconsistencies or anomalies in the data.
  • Scrutinize data for any inaccuracies or deficiencies.
  • Conduct routine backups to safeguard data integrity and preservation.
  • Organize and categorize paperwork post data entry to prevent loss or misplacement.
  • Adhere to data integrity and security policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Provide timely updates on data entry progress and challenges.
  • Collate and collect training attendance data from training venue.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Post Secondary school certificate or equivalent; further education or certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a data entry clerk or similar role.
  • Fast typing skills with an eye for detail and familiarity with spreadsheets and online platforms.
  • Basic understanding of databases.
  • Good command of English and Hausa, both oral and written.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office Word and Excel,

  • Adherence to data security and confidentiality standards.
