We are seeking a highly experienced Data Analyst with extensive knowledge and experience in the downstream sector of the oil and gas industry in Nigeria. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with depots across Nigeria and will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and ensuring the accuracy of critical data points that drive business decisions in the oil and gas sector.

Please note that this is not a Data Analyst role. If you apply for both the Data Sourcing Analyst and Data Analyst positions, your application will be disqualified.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect, validate, and analyse data from various depots across Nigeria to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and define data requirements for downstream oil and gas operations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate entry of data into company systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Monitor the quality and consistency of data to identify trends, outliers, and opportunities for improvement in depot operations.
  • Provide insights and actionable recommendations based on data analysis to optimize performance across the downstream supply chain.
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and visualizations for management and executive teams.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, government regulations, and market conditions in the Nigerian oil and gas sector.
  • Ensure data integrity and implement data governance protocols to maintain high-quality data standards.

Qualifications:

  • Vast experience in the downstream sector of the oil and gas industry, specifically working with depots in Nigeria.
  • Strong proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Demonstrated ability to handle large datasets and ensure accuracy in data entry and analysis.
  • In-depth understanding of the Nigerian oil and gas regulatory environment and its impact on depot operations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on maintaining data integrity and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in developing and managing dashboards and automated reports.
  • Knowledge of data quality best practices and standards
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations and compliance
