Job role

  • Our goal is to win the hearts and minds of developers worldwide by meeting them where they are and providing them with proper technical education, tools, and resources to enable developer success.
  • We’re seeking a Developer Advocate to work with SeerBit’s developer community. You will work directly with our community of developers as they build on our platforms and products, speaking at events, producing video content, and creating other content to help the community learn how to build products on our platform. You’ll collaborate closely with the other Engineering, Marketing, and Partnerships teams to craft positive, empowering experiences that encourage developers to become active developers and invite their colleagues to do the same. You’ll also collaborate closely with the other product and engineering teams to advocate for the community internally, set roadmaps, and define and launch new features.
  • Developer Advocacy requires people with technical backgrounds who can communicate and empathize with developers building on our platform. This role will appeal to you if you love coding and thinking through advanced scenarios just as much as communicating with a variety of partners, both technical and non-technical. You enjoy helping people solve problems, writing code samples, and speaking to a broad audience.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Technical Content Creator: Host of live events and podcasts, creating videos of relatable tips/tricks, creating code samples, demos, articles, and tutorials for a highly technical audience 
  • Tech expert: This person knows what’s hot, what people are talking about, and what the community asks for. They can also thoroughly explain tech concepts to beginners. 
  • Brand advocate: knows who SeerBit and our partners are, is passionate about our purpose, and can evangelize who we are in several different mediums. 
  • Community leader: This person will moderate several Discord channels while maintaining a robust FAQ, engaging with members, and escalating issues. 
  • External partnerships: has the beat on externally facing groups and conferences, has an opinion on who we should talk to and partner with, can create more avenues of connection to widen our community in spaces we haven’t explored, keeps active lists of boot camps, conferences, devrel advocates, podcasts, meetups. 
  • Social media: Engages appropriately with the community on social media, can craft smartly worded tweets and posts through engagement and writes tweets to be scheduled. 
  • Liaison: Takes feedback as an active role in the business: reporting, problem-solving, etc., and represents both SeerBit and our partner professionally while speaking with our brand voice 
  • Analytics: the ability to report on community initiatives regularly. 
  • Present technical sessions at conferences, running workshops, and hands-on hackathons 
  • A willingness and ability to travel worldwide extensively.
