Job Summary
- We are seeking a highly analytical and commercially aware Economist to drive data-backed decision-making across the business.
- The ideal candidate will play a critical role in pricing optimization, sales performance analysis, and profitability improvement within a retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and consumer behavior to guide business strategy
- Develop and implement pricing strategies to improve sales and profit margins
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance and provide actionable insights
- Conduct cost and margin analysis across product categories
- Build sales forecasts and demand planning models
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue, reduce costs, and improve efficiency
- Prepare business performance reports and dashboards for management
- Support budgeting, financial planning, and strategic decision-making
- Collaborate with operations and store teams to improve product performance and turnover.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics
- Only candidates who studied Economics will be considered
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, financial modeling)
- Experience with data analysis tools or ERP systems is an advantage
- Good understanding of retail business operations and financial metrics
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to translate complex data into clear business insights
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
