Our client, a world-class Christian Publishing Organisation is seeking a talented Editor to join its dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will ensure our written content is accurate, clear, and consistent. They will also work closely with writers, designers, and stakeholders to uphold editorial standards and enhance content quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough reviews and edits of content to ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, and adherence to brand standards before publication.
  • Collaborate with content creators to develop and refine content ideas, angles, and storytelling approaches
  • Fact-check content to verify accuracy of information and ensure credibility.
  • Provide constructive feedback to writers to improve the quality of their content
  • Prioritise editorial tasks and deadlines to ensure timely delivery of content.
  • Work with the content team to develop long-term content strategies that align with the company's objectives and target audience
  • Maintain and update the company's style guide to ensure consistency in writing style, formatting, and tone across all content.

Person Specifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an Editor or similar role, preferably in publishing.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
