The School of Eloquence, a school where people are trained on the art and skills of public speaking, is planning a one-day skill enhancement program for members of the press, both electronic and print. This School of Eloquence program is tagged as Editor's School of Eloquence with the title "From Press Presence". The enhancement program which is also disseminated as Public Speaking For The Press is the second in its series in the history.

Company Overview

  • We are currently seeking a talented and passionate Editor to lead our editorial team and contribute to the success of our motivational newspaper.

Responsibilities
As the Editor of Achievers Journal, you will be responsible for:
Content Leadership:

  • Overseeing the content strategy and ensuring alignment with the publication's motivational focus.
  • Planning, assigning, and editing articles that resonate with our audience.

Team Management:

  • Leading a team of writers, contributors, and editorial staff.
  • Providing guidance and feedback to enhance team performance.

Quality Control:

  • Ensuring the high quality, accuracy, and consistency of all published content.
  • Managing the editorial calendar to meet publication deadlines.

Innovation and Creativity:

  • Infusing creativity into content creation to maintain a fresh and engaging publication.
  • Identifying and implementing innovative ideas to enhance the readership experience.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborating with other departments, including design, marketing, and management, to achieve publication goals.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with contributors and external partners.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Proven experience as an Editor or in a similar editorial role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A passion for motivational content and personal development.
  • Familiarity with current trends in media and publishing.
  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an editorial role.
  • Demonstrated success in managing editorial teams and meeting publication deadlines.
  • Proficiency in digital content management systems and publishing tools.
