JOB DESCRIPTION
As the Backend Engineer at BFREE, you will be a crucial part of our technology team, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the backend systems that power our revolutionary financial platform. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless integration of technology with finance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for driving technological innovation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient backend systems to support BFREE's financial operations across multiple countries and markets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Implement and optimize APIs, databases, and other backend components to enhance system performance.
- Work closely with the technology leadership team to align technology initiatives with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in backend development.
- Should possess the ability to identify the most efficient solution and demonstrate proactive initiative.
- Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with other members of the development team
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience in a backend engineering role, preferably in the fintech or banking sector.
- At least 3 years of experience as a software engineer
- Strong backend experience in developing APIs that can efficiently handle large amounts of requests and data using Golang
- Must have written GO in production for at least 1-2 years
- Experience working with Docker, AWS, and cloud native technologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with database design and optimization, and microservices architecture.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Proficient understanding of security best practices in backend development.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
