Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an information security management program to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain information security policies, procedures, and protocols that are in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Perform regular security and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in the organization’s information systems and make recommendations for remediation.
  • Manage incident response activities, including investigating security incidents, and ensure that proper reporting, documentation, and resolution processes are in place.
  • Develop and maintain a security awareness program for employees, contractors, and third-party vendors to ensure that all personnel understand the importance of information security and their role in protecting the organization’s assets
  • Develop and implement security controls to protect against external and internal threats, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, anti-virus software, and data encryption
  • Monitor and analyze security logs, alerts, and reports to identify security incidents and trends.
  • Conduct regular security audits and penetration testing to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure the availability of information and critical systems during a disaster.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and support for information security-related
  • projects, including the development and implementation of new systems and applications.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and threats in the information security field and make recommendations for incorporating new technologies and best practices into the organization’s information security program
  • Manage the development and implementation of new systems and applications, ensuring they align with the organization’s overall goals and objectives.
  • Ensure that all IT systems and processes are secure and comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to employees, contractors, and third-party vendors, as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Understanding of information security risk assessments and incident response processes.
  • Understanding of security technologies and controls, including firewalls, intrusion
  • detection and prevention systems, anti-virus software, and data encryption.
  • Ability to “think outside the box” while identifying problems and developing creative solutions.
  • Ability to work in a distributed and remote team.
  • Good communication and organization skills.
