The IT Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of project planning, implementation, and execution. This includes managing both individual projects and groups of related company projects in a coordinated manner. The role ensures that all projects deliver their intended benefits and remain aligned with organizational goals throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
Project Management & Execution
- Lead and manage IT & Systems support and software development projects to ensure timely and successful delivery.
- Oversee end to end project requests from user departments, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain essential project documentation, including project charters, project plans, risk registers, budgets, and lessons learned.
- Track project progress using tools such as Project Plan 3, Power BI, Power Apps, and OnePlan.
- Monitor delivery milestones to ensure alignment with agreed client timelines.
Stakeholder & requestor Engagement
- Collaborate closely with users and IT & Systems engineers to understand requirements and ensure alignment.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for users, providing accurate and timely updates and reports.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams, external partners, stakeholders, and management.
- Ensure all deliverables meet or exceed user expectations, maintaining strong client satisfaction levels.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Lead virtual teams consisting of user or requesting departments and IT & Systems teams (support and software development teams).
- Coordinate and liaise with Legal, Procurement, Administration, Logistics, and Finance teams for projects involving new equipment or software purchases and license renewals, ensuring timely delivery.
- Coordinate with Procurement and internal IT & Systems to ensure supplier products and services are compliant with industry and organizational standards.
- Address and mitigate project concerns, contractual challenges, and risks, escalating issues where necessary.
Process & Performance Improvement
- Actively participate in and promote the project gate review process.
- Actively participate in and promote the budget management and planning process while collaborating with stakeholders to ensure business needs are factored in and fully aligned with financial objectives.
- Track and ensure that purchases and software/service renewals are in line with the approved budget.
- Oversee vendor and logistics management to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Ensure and track compliance with key audit requirements communicated through IT & Systems policies and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain accurate data within NetSuite and other project management tools.
- Serve as a deputy to the Program Manager as needed and contribute to ad hoc reporting.
- Actively support process improvement and automation initiatives
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent); a master’s degree is an added advantage.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or AGILE (Scrum Master preferred) certification is mandatory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project.
- Excellent command of English in written and spoken communication.
Experience & Skills:
- A minimum of 6 years of technical experience in the telecom or IT industry, with at least 4 years in a project management role.
- Effective project management skills, including experience in written and verbal communication, as evidenced by work history and accomplishments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize and present key information to stakeholders concisely.
- Proficiency in BOSS tools and Microsoft Office suite, including MS Project and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, sprint planning).
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including active listening, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
- Proven ability to work cross functionally and influence teams in a matrix environment.
