Job Summary:
- The company is seeking to hire an IT Security Expert who will play a crucial role in safeguarding the organization's information systems and data against potential cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
- This role requires a deep understanding of information security principles, risk management, and the ability to implement and maintain effective security measures.
- The IT Security Expert will collaborate with various teams to assess, plan, and implement security measures to protect the organization's digital assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential security vulnerabilities.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats and trends.
- Develop and maintain information security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Design, implement, and manage network security architecture.
- Monitor network traffic for unusual activities and potential security threats.
- Implement and manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other security appliances.
- Develop and maintain an incident response plan.
- Lead incident response efforts in the event of a security breach.
- Conduct post-incident analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Provide training and awareness programs for employees to promote a security-conscious culture.
- Keep employees informed about the latest security risks and best practices.
- Conduct regular security audits and assessments.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance.
- Design and implement security architecture for systems and applications.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure secure coding practices.
- Implement and manage identity and access management solutions.
- Ensure proper access controls and permissions are in place.
- Implement and manage security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
- Monitor logs and alerts for suspicious activities.
- Evaluate and manage the security posture of third-party vendors.
- Ensure vendors adhere to security standards and requirements.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees and relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are a plus.
- Proven experience in IT security roles, with a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles.
- In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
