Job Description
- We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Java Junior Developer to join our growing engineering team.
- In this role, you will work closely with senior developers and cross-functional teams to build backend systems, services, and tools that support our learner and corporate platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend applications using Java (Spring Boot or similar frameworks).
- Build and consume RESTful APIs.
- Write clean, efficient, and testable code following best practices.
- Debug, optimize, and refactor existing codebases.
- Work with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
- Collaborate with product managers, frontend developers, and designers to implement new features.
- Participate in Agile development processes and code reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- 1 - 3 years of professional experience with Java.
- Familiarity with Java frameworks such as Spring or Spring Boot.
- Solid understanding of OOP, data structures, and design patterns.
- Experience with version control (preferably Git).
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Familiarity with frontend technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Exposure to CI / CD, unit testing, and containerization tools (e.g., Docker).
