Job Description:
- The L3 - Security Hardening & Vulnerabilities Specialist is responsible for leading the efforts in system hardening and vulnerability management across the organization.
- This role involves conducting comprehensive security assessments, designing and implementing effective mitigation strategies, and ensuring that all systems meet stringent hardening standards.
- The specialist will work closely with various IT teams to enhance the security posture of the organization, minimizing risks associated with vulnerabilities and ensuring compliance with industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage system hardening initiatives to strengthen the security of the organization's IT infrastructure.
- Conduct detailed security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
- Design and implement mitigation strategies to address identified vulnerabilities and reduce security risks.
- Ensure systems are compliant with established security hardening standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security best practices into the system development and deployment processes.
- Provide expert guidance on security hardening techniques and vulnerability management to other team members and stakeholders.
- Stay informed on the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends to continuously improve security practices.
Experience Required:
- 5-7 years of experience in IT security, with a strong focus on system hardening and vulnerability management.
- Proven experience in conducting security assessments and implementing effective security controls.
- In-depth knowledge of security hardening techniques and vulnerability management tools.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or GIAC are highly desirable.
