Job Summary

  • The Entry-Level Research Officer will be responsible for supporting research activities, including data collection, literature reviews, analysis, and report writing.
  • The role involves collaborating with team members to ensure timely completion of research tasks and contributing to the development of research proposals.
  • This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual looking to gain experience in research methodology, data analysis, and project management.

Key Responsibilities
Data Collection & Analysis:

  • Conduct primary and secondary research, including surveys, interviews, and document reviews.
  • Collect, clean, and organize data from various sources.
  • Assist in quantitative and qualitative data analysis using statistical software or other relevant tools.
  • Perform literature reviews and stay updated on trends in the relevant research area.
  • Summarize key findings from existing research and reports.
  • Assist in preparing research reports, briefs, and presentations.
  • Help draft research papers and articles for publication.
  • Document all research processes and ensure proper organization of research data.
  • Assist senior researchers in designing and implementing research projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of project timelines and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support the successful completion of research projects.Support in communicating with stakeholders, including research participants, external partners, and sponsors.
  • Assist in organizing and preparing for research meetings, workshops, and presentations.
  • Provide administrative assistance to the research team as needed.
  • Manage research databases and archives, ensuring confidentiality and proper documentation.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (eg, Social Sciences, Economics, Business, Public Policy, etc.).
  • 1 - 2 years of work experience.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Basic understanding of research methodologies and data analysis tools (SPSS, STATA, R, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with data collection techniques (eg, surveys, interviews, focus groups).
  • Experience using research databases and digital tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Interest in [insert relevant field, eg, social research, market research, policy research].
