Association of Religious Leaders Living with/or Personally Affected by HIV/AIDS in Nigeria (NINERELA+). The Association is the Nigeria affiliate of the International Network of Religious Leaders Living with/or Personally Affected by HIV/AIDS (INERELA+) which is based in Johannesburg, South Africa. NINERELA+ was officially inaugurated on the 14th of October 2005 and its affairs are being piloted by eight-man elected management board. It has functional chapters across the 36 states of Nigeria and FCT. The organization also has a functional National Secretariat which is headed by the National Coordinator and other supporting staff in Abuja. We are Faith based Network of Infected and Affected Religious Leaders within Nigeria that are registered members as individuals or registered faith based organizations. NINERELA+ is a policy coordinating body of all NINERELA+ State Chapters and carries out activities in line with its mission statement and objectives. However, NINERELA+ is actively carrying out leadership activities for all its members in all the states of this country with emphasis on good governance. NINERELA+ expands its membership and empowers them by providing correct and quality information on HIV and AIDS treatment as well as Opportunistic infections treatment such as Malaria, Tuberculosis (TB) etc. It also provides correct and qualitative information on prevention, care and support services. We are currently working in the areas of care and support, stigma reduction, and other prevention of new HIV infections using the SAVE model approach with funding from Christian Aid and technical / system support from Management Sciences for Health (MSH).

Duties

  • Develop tools for collecting regular projects activities and performances;
  • Communicate and orient responsible partners or program staff on the use of the tools they are responsible for;
  • Prepare work plans, M&E plans, and performance frameworks for the program
  • Monitor the implementation of program activities to ensure conformance to project objectives, work plans, budget, and expected results.
  • Participate in operational research within the project and in other continuous quality improvement initiatives within the project.
  • Provide full and detailed feedback to the field on reporting problems and solutions
  • Assist in the design of a comprehensive reporting system across the program while working with staff to ensure consistency and compatibility of information formats.
  • Share learning from the M&E process with the wider team
  • Support in the development of proposals (particularly objectives, outputs, and indicators) and project targets as needed.
  • Capture data and produce a report using monitoring tools to track project indicators as per the performance framework
  • Develop and maintain databases, back-ups, and filing systems for program data
  • Prepare monthly and/or bimonthly reports for the program team and partners
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual programmatic performance reports.
  • Support the project implementation team to document and disseminate lessons learned and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Preferably a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences, Public Health, Statistics, Development Studies, or related degrees.

Experience:

  • At least 2 years of previous experience in the development sector, particularly in public health response, is preferred
  • Experience in M&E concepts and tools
  • Experience in monitoring & evaluation and project management
  • Must demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks and produce reports on time and work both independently and in a multi-disciplinary and multicultural team environment.

Skills and Competences:

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English,
  • Ability to present data in infographics
  • Excellent skill in narrative report writing
  • Analytical and attention to details
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Good analytical and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with data collection (Quantitative & Qualitative)
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word processing, Database management, SPSS, or other statistical packages
  • Basic knowledge of M&E processes and techniques.
