About the job
- We are looking to hire a Middle - Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support our fast-growing network infrastructure. The Network Engineer will be part of a systems engineering team (Network and Communications Unit) responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, highly available and secured network architectures that meet enterprise business objectives and SLAs.
Responsibilities.
- Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, QoS).
- Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN).
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.
- Monitor performance and ensure system availability, integrity and reliability.
- Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
- Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
- Work within the enterprise-established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
- Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team.
- Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability.
- Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness,
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel within the Information Technology department for quick problem-resolution
Requirements.
- Industry-related experience as a Middle - Senior Network Engineer or Network Administrator with proven hands-on network engineering experience.
- Professional certification (e.g. CCNP, CCDP).
- Creating a detailed plan for network architecture, diagnosing and resolving network problems.
- In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF).
- Solid understanding of network operating systems (JUNOS, Cisco IOS).
- Sharp troubleshooting skills with an ability to work independently.
- Organizational and mentoring skills.
- Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model, hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools.
- University degree in Computer Engineering/Science or a related subject.
- At least 4 – 6 years of experience in network engineering.
