Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) framework for the project, ensuring alignment with project objectives, donor requirements, and international best practices.
- Design and manage data collection tools and methodologies, including surveys, interviews, focus groups, and other qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Monitor project activities to assess progress against targets, identify challenges, and provide actionable recommendations for improving project performance.
- Compile, analyze, and interpret data to generate comprehensive reports on project outcomes, impact, and lessons learned.
- Ensure timely and accurate data collection, entry, and management, maintaining a robust and secure database for all project-related information.
- Coordinate with project managers and field staff to gather and verify data, ensuring that all M&E activities are conducted in a consistent and systematic manner.
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor the implementation of project activities, verify data, and assess the quality of service delivery.
- Provide training and capacity building for project staff and partners on M&E tools, techniques, and best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including donors, local authorities, and partner organizations, to share M&E findings and integrate feedback into project planning and implementation.
- Ensure that all M&E activities adhere to organizational policies, donor regulations, and ethical standards, with a focus on safeguarding and the protection of vulnerable populations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Social Sciences, Public Health, Development Studies, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an advantage.
- At least 5 years of experience in Monitoring and Evaluation, preferably in humanitarian or development projects focused on nutrition, health, or food security.
- Strong proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting, with experience using statistical software (e.g., SPSS, STATA, or R) and data visualization tools.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with donor reporting requirements and experience in preparing M&E reports for international donors.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of local languages in Zamfara State is an asset.
- Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards, with a focus on data integrity, confidentiality, and the protection of vulnerable populations.
