- A motion graphics designer works with animation, audio, and visual effects to create moving content and graphics for various media, such as television, the internet, and film.
- Motion graphic designers work with creative teams to incorporate design elements into a project.
Responsibilities
- Create motion and still graphics
- Create montages and breakers
- Add motion graphics to projects
- Creates storytelling elements and scripts and incorporates them into previsualization storyboards and other pre-production products, including areas such as (but not limited to); mechanism of action animation, gaming, augmented and virtual reality simulation, etc
- Provides technical knowledge, expertise, and guidance about best practices for computer graphics, digital photography, video production, animations, sequencing, and audio/visual effects in various authoring and software packages.
- Works on multiple projects concurrently, monitors activity, progress and time related to project development, including managing the development of project plans and developing and maintaining project schedules and timelines.
- Utilises experience in the use of a variety of design tools like Vizrt, Cinema4D, 3Dmax, After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw, Adobe Media Encoder, Object-Oriented Design, and APIs to create the requested product.
- Develops requirements for designing face-to-face and DL educational multimedia content and then ensures those requirements are incorporated into final products or recommendations as directed and provides recommendations on interface design.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance at and participation in the required training for the role.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in graphics, illustration, or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience is required.
- Proven in-depth experience with Vizrt, Cinema4D, 3Dmax, After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw, Adobe Media Encoder, Object-Oriented Design, and APIs to create the requested product.
