Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily news production for TV and Radio.
- Edit and approve news scripts to ensure accuracy, clarity, and balance.
- Assign stories to reporters and monitor news coverage.
- Ensure all news content complies with editorial policies and broadcasting regulations.
- Work closely with producers, reporters, and newscasters to deliver quality news programs.
- Monitor breaking news and guide the newsroom on timely coverage.
- Maintain high standards of journalistic ethics and credibility.
- Oversee news bulletins, special reports, and investigative stories.
Requirements
- Minimum of BSc/HND in Mass Communication, Journalism, or related field.
- 3–5 years experience in journalism or newsroom operations, preferably in TV or radio broadcasting.
- Strong editing and news judgment skills.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Good understanding of broadcast newsroom workflow.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
