Job Summary
- The Nurse Assistant provides basic care and support to patients under the supervision of licensed nurses.
- Assists with daily living activities, vital signs, and other tasks to ensure patient comfort and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Take vital signs (temperature, pulse, blood pressure, etc.)
- Serve meals and snacks, and assist with feeding as needed
- Maintain patient rooms and common areas in a clean and orderly condition
- Assist with transfers, ambulation, and positioning
- Communicate patient needs and concerns to licensed nurses
- Document patient information and vital signs accurately
- Participate in patient care conferences and team meetings
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a nurse assistant training program
- Basic life support (BLS) certification
- Ability to lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
