Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Oracle 10g/11g/12c in single and cluster mode.
- Good experience in Replication, Log shipping, Clustering & RAC
- Execution of backup/recovery procedures & RMAN
- Creation and Maintenance of Database Instances & Performance fine tuning
- Verify that Server has enough resources for acceptable performance
- Review contention for CPU, memory, network, and disk resources
- Review fragmentation by investigating row chaining and other areas of fragmentation
- Capture Performance Statistics using performance monitors
- Define Backup policy and retention policy for complete/differential/transaction backup
- Conduct backup, restoration drills for backup verification in different scenarios.
- Hands on experience and excellent knowledge of DB administration, License Management, Version upgrades and migrations
- Driving initiatives to improve SLAs by analysis and Responses
- Responsible for driving all P1, P2, incidents, change requests and OEM/ vendor management for the tower
- Responsible for Technology refresh in respective domain
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4 years minimum experience in enterprise database management with a specialization in Oracle database solutions.
- Proven expertise in implementing, configuring, and optimizing Oracle databases in large-scale environments.
- Strong technical proficiency in Oracle Database architecture, PL/SQL, and associated tools (e.g., RMAN, Data Guard, Oracle Enterprise Manager).
- Demonstrated ability to perform database performance tuning, backup and recovery, and troubleshooting.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
- Solid problem-solving skills and ability to manage complex database issues independently.
- Relevant work experience in the banking sector.
