About the Role
We are seeking an experienced PHP Developer with a strong background in the gaming industry to join our fast-growing team. You will be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining highly scalable backend systems that power our gaming platforms. The ideal candidate has a passion for gaming, strong problem-solving skills, and a proven track record of delivering reliable and high-performance applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain PHP-based applications for gaming platforms.
- Build robust backend APIs and integrate with front-end systems, game engines, and third-party services.
- Collaborate with designers, game developers, and product teams to implement new features.
- Optimize code and database queries for high-traffic gaming environments.
- Ensure system security, scalability, and performance at all times.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
- Stay up to date with gaming trends, backend frameworks, and PHP ecosystem advancements.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following industry standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of PHP development experience (Laravel, Symfony, or similar frameworks).
- Proven work experience in the gaming industry (e.g., online casinos, betting platforms, eSports, multiplayer systems, or similar).
- Strong understanding of MySQL/SQL, database optimization, and query performance tuning.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and real-time communication protocols.
- Knowledge of payment gateway integrations and gaming compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with Linux environments, Git version control, and deployment pipelines.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Node.js, JavaScript, or TypeScript alongside PHP.
- Knowledge of blockchain gaming, NFTs, or play-to-earn mechanics.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Previous experience with microservices architecture in gaming ecosystems.
- Understanding of game server mechanics and multiplayer synchronization.
