Radio Now FM is a public service media company focused on delivering factual, nuanced, and balanced Nigerian-focused programming.

Responsibilities:

Content Development: Brainstorm with the Podcast host to plan and develop engaging podcast ideas and concepts.
Scriptwriting: Write, edit, and refine podcast scripts to ensure clarity, coherence, and alignment with the podcast's goals and target audience.
Research: Conduct thorough research on topics, guests, and relevant background information to enhance the quality and accuracy of podcast episodes.
Pre-production: Coordinate all pre-production activities logistics such as scheduling, guest bookings, and equipment setup to ensure smooth recording sessions.
Recording: Oversee recording sessions, direct talent, and manage technical aspects such as sound levels and microphone placement to achieve optimal audio quality.
Editing: Carry out audio and video edit of recordings using digital softwares that can enhance sound quality, remove mistakes, and create a polished final product.
Post-production: Add music, sound effects, and other elements to enhance the podcast's overall production value and appeal.
Distribution: Manage the distribution process in line with the organisation's directive, 2hich includes uploading episodes to hosting platforms, writing episode descriptions, and optimizing metadata for searchability.
Promotion: Work on promotional strategies and materials to increase audience engagement and grow the podcast's listener base.
Quality Control: Ensure that all episodes meet established quality standards, including audio clarity, visual appeal, content accuracy, and adherence to brand guidelines.
Feedback and Iteration: Solicit feedback from team members and listeners, analyze performance metrics, and use insights to continuously improve the podcast's content and production process.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, media production, or a related field.
Proven experience in podcast production, including scriptwriting, recording, editing, and distribution.
Proficiency with audio editing software such as Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, or Audacity. Knowledge of visual editing software is a plus.
Strong storytelling skills and the ability to craft compelling narratives.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of current trends and best practices in podcasting and audio production.
