Job Summary
We are looking for a competent Production Assistant to support all aspects of film or TV production. The crew will count on you for various crucial tasks, from organizing sets to distributing scripts to crowd control.
If you want to prove yourself and work your way up the ranks in film making, this is the place to start. High energy and commitment are essential. If you are a restless individual who can multi-task, solve problems and do things proactively, you’ll quickly become invaluable.
Key Responsibilities
Planning
- Assist with the planning, management and delivery of production elements.
- Assist with the planning and delivery of the Company’s various events; specifically working with the Production Manager on the delivery of sponsor, donor and philanthropic events and activity.
- Attend production meetings, design presentations and any other meetings relating to the Company’s activities and specific productions, installations, workshops, functions and events.
- Assist with the planning and scheduling for productions, ensuring that venues are provided with accurate information pertaining to the production.
- Assist all relevant schedules and risk management documentation relating to production and operational activity.
- Maintain a register for all aspects of the production, recording the contact details and ensuring hired or borrowed items are returned at the completion of use.
- Assist the Venue & Operations Manager with the planning and maintenance of a safe and WH&S compliant work environment in line with relevant policies and guidelines and specific to the production environment.
Qualifications and Skills
- Candidate must possess excellent written and spoken command of English language.
- BA/HND in Film, Media or Theatre Arts
- Candidates must possess an appreciable level of competence in MS packages.
- Candidates must possess excellent email etiquette and client relation skills.
- Candidate must be ready for the rigours of film production.
- Candidate must be focused, committed, disciplined and timely with responsibilities.
- Candidate must be willing to learn, grow and morph into a producer.
Other advantage (s); social media content creation, social media management, graphics design, presentation skills.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Producers assistant.
