Job Summary:
- SunFi is building an entirely new energy financial technology ecosystem platform.
- The employee will own and improve the quality of the SunFi Platform. The employee is responsible for ensuring that the quality of our software products meets or exceeds customer expectations.
- This individual will work closely with product engineers, product managers, and customer service to identify and resolve quality issues and to implement processes and procedures to prevent future quality problems. - bringing our brand to life across every component, layout, use case, and user experience.
- The employee will have the ability to think strategically, act pragmatically, and have the tenacity, energy, and passion for innovating and implementing change within the time and resource constraints of a quickly growing startup environment.
- The employee will report to the CTO and be required to communicate with and engage colleagues, and leadership effectively.
Responsibilities
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Developing and executing manual and automated tests to ensure software quality. Analyzing and investigating quality issues, and working with product engineers to identify and implement solutions.
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Test current products and identify deficiencies
- Maintain quality documentation and records
- Developing and implementing quality control processes and procedures to ensure product quality.
- Investigate product quality in order to make improvements to achieve better customer satisfaction
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
- Present product ideas to relevant team members for brainstorming
- Participating in product design reviews to ensure quality considerations are incorporated into the design.
- Conducting root cause analysis of quality problems and implementing corrective actions.
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
- Collaborate with customers, Product Managers, Frontend, and Backend Engineers to iterate on the quality and implementation of our product.
- Identify and communicate design best practices.
Requirements:
- 4+ years creating and shipping software.
- Proven work experience in software development
- Proven work experience in software quality assurance
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases. Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools for Web, Mobile, and API platforms. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment
- Experience with performance and/or security is a plus
- Ability to “think outside the box” while identifying problems and developing creative solutions.
- Ability to work in a distributed and remote team.
- Good communication, leadership, and organizational skills
