Job Purpose

  • The Quality Analyst is charged with the responsibility of ensuring product quality in manufacturing.
  • He/she is to evaluate raw materials, packaging materials, work in progress, finished products, systems, and software to ensure they are free of defects and meet the reguired quality standards.
  • The quality analyst will also ensure competent calibration and testing procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of results.
  • He or she will drive the research and development objectives of product design, recipe validation, method development and its validation.

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Laboratory Tests:

    • Conduct laboratory tests on incoming raw materials, in-process production samples, and final products before distribution.
  • Data Analysis:

    • Analyze data to ensure that product specifications are met.
    • Perform peer reviews of other analyses.
    • Derive and establish specifications and standards for compliance checks of raw chemical materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
  • Review:

    • Review current GMP documentation related to testing methods and regulations.
    • Implement ways to update or improve processes.
    • Review good manufacturing practice documentation, including test methods and protocols.
    • Perform a review of test data and analysis.
  • QC Testing:

    • Perform QC testing on raw materials, in-process items, and final products.
    • Document standard operating procedures for parameters testing.
    • Ensure up-to-date reporting.
  • Data/Trend Assessment and Monitoring:

    • Carry out formulation data compilation.
    • Compute the trend and provide an assessment of the trend pertaining to process consistency.
    • Ensure periodic monitoring of the process to meet product specifications.
  • Inventory Management:

    • Maintain an inventory of testing supplies.
    • Properly maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Process Improvement:

    • Provide support for process improvement.
  • Other Responsibilities:

    • Can be assigned additional responsibilities or roles as deemed necessary by the SBU MD and line manager.
    • As an associate of Saro Agrosciences, be ready to undertake assigned responsibilities and tasks within the Saro group.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of a Second Class (Upper Division) Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as Pure and Applied or Analytical Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering.
  • MSc. Degree will be an edge.
  • 2 - 4 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in an agrochemical manufacturing/FMCG/processing company.

Age Requirement:

  • 28 - 35 Years.

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Good teaming skills.
  • Baseline problem analysis and solving skills.
  • Creativity and ability to think out of the box.
  • Exceptional control of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other computer tools.
