About the job
- As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality standards for our software products. You'll work closely with our QA team, PM team, and Development team to identify, isolate, and document defects, contributing to the overall quality and reliability of our software. You will be required to design, document, and implement tests to expose bugs, and work closely with teams to checkmate the recurrence of errors to meet high quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Create comprehensive test cases based on requirements and design specifications.
- Employ Continuous Testing techniques to prevent quality issues during the development phase and ensure post-deployment satisfaction of internal and external customers.
- Execute test cases manually and assist in automating test scripts.
- Identify, isolate, and document defects using a bug tracking system, then verify the issues are resolved.
- Conduct regression testing to ensure changes don't introduce new defects and report discovered defects to software developers.
- Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
- Design test procedures to ensure replicability and compliance with standards.
- Monitor bug resolution issues and track successes.
- Find, investigate, track, reproduce, and document bugs.
- Performs the pre-testing phase of application development by participating in requirements reviews to identify potential problems areas and make the appropriate recommendations.
- Work closely with QA, developers, project managers, and other team members to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Translating user stories into test scenarios to delivery high quality software.
- Ensure tests run smoothly and quickly.
- Conduct functional and non-functional testing of web/mobile applications to ensure smooth and bug-free applications.
- Implement performance tests to report on system capability and limits.
- Knowledge of Automation tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Able to work in an Agile environment and have a working knowledge of Scrum, JIRA, and early testing.
- Analytical approach to troubleshooting.
- Experience in writing test plans, creating test cases, and debugging.
- Knowledge of test automation.
- Time management skills and organizational skills.
- Practical experience in API testing using Postman.
- Practical experience in UI test Automation using Cypress/Playwright
- Excellent communication skills and impeccable attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task, manage deadlines, and work efficiently.
