Job Description:
- We are seeking a dynamic professional to take on the dual role of Lead Instructor and QA Specialist in Manual Testing. This unique position combines teaching aspiring QA professionals with hands-on quality assurance work for Darey.io’s products. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in manual testing, a strong understanding of testing methodologies, and a passion for education.
Key Responsibilities:
Instructional Duties:
- Design and deliver a comprehensive manual testing curriculum, covering topics such as test planning, test case creation, test execution, defect reporting, and documentation.
- Conduct instructor-led training sessions and workshops to equip students with the necessary skills for QA roles.
- Develop practical exercises and projects that simulate real-world manual testing scenarios.
- Mentor students, providing feedback on their progress and helping them build strong portfolios.
- Continuously update course content to reflect current industry trends and best practices.
QA Specialist Duties:
- Perform hands-on manual testing for Darey.io’s internal and customer-facing products to ensure the highest quality standards.
- Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to identify software defects.
- Document and report bugs, collaborating with developers to resolve issues promptly.
- Conduct regression, exploratory, and usability testing to validate product functionality and user experience.
- Work closely with the product and development teams to integrate QA processes into the software development lifecycle.
- Provide insights and recommendations for improving the quality of Darey.io’s products.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience in manual testing.
- Proven teaching or mentorship experience, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for beginners.
- Proficiency in using QA tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, TestRail, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies, including black-box testing, regression testing, and exploratory testing.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage both instructional and QA responsibilities effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in quality assurance or testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE).
- Experience with usability testing and user experience validation.
- Background in instructional design or content development for technical training.
