Job Description

  • As a Quality Assurance and Tester with expertise in product experience at Afrione, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, usability, and overall satisfaction of our software products.
  • You will leverage your technical knowledge, user experience insights, and effective communication skills to collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality Assurance: Design and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios to evaluate the functionality, performance, and usability of software products across different platforms and devices.
  • User Experience Testing: Conduct thorough usability testing and heuristic evaluations to assess the user experience (UX) design, interface interactions, navigation flows, and accessibility features of software applications.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize your technical background to identify, isolate, and reproduce software defects and issues, working closely with development teams to prioritize and resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Product Experience Analysis: Analyze user feedback, behavior metrics, and usability data to gain insights into user preferences, pain points, and opportunities for improvement, informing product enhancements and feature prioritization decisions.
  • User-Developer Communication: Serve as a liaison between users, developers, and product managers, effectively communicating user needs, technical requirements, and product feedback to facilitate collaboration and alignment across teams.
  • Product Management Support: Assist product managers in defining product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria based on user insights, technical considerations, and business objectives, contributing to the overall product roadmap and strategy.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Document test results, defect reports, and performance metrics using appropriate tools and systems. Generate regular status reports, progress updates, and recommendations for continuous improvement to stakeholders.
  • Training and Knowledge Sharing: Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging trends, and new technologies related to quality assurance, testing methodologies, and user experience design. Share knowledge and mentor team members to enhance collective expertise and capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, human-computer interaction, or related field.
  • Proven experience in quality assurance, software testing, and user experience evaluation, preferably in a software development environment.
  • Strong technical proficiency in testing methodologies, test automation tools, and bug tracking systems.
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, usability testing techniques, and accessibility standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and draw meaningful insights to drive decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality products that meet or exceed user expectations.
  • Collaborative attitude and willingness to work closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
