JOB DESCRIPTION
- The Radio Presenter is responsible for hosting, moderating, and delivering engaging live and recorded programmes, including news bulletins and events.
- This role requires a dynamic individual with excellent communication skills, a strong on-air presence, and the ability to connect with the audience while presenting news and entertainment content.
PRESENTATION DUTIES
- Anchors, interviews & moderates live and recorded programmes.
- Anchors and moderates’ events.
NEWS DUTIES
- Anchors news bulletin.
- Sources for news material, edits and produces news bulletin.
- Information analysis on newsworthy items and write news stories.
- Receives assignment and evaluates news leads and news tips to develop story idea.
- Gathers and verifies factual information for news from interviews and radio programmes.
- Live reports from location of events for news stories.
- Transmit information to news editor for final edits.
On-Air Engagement
- Maintain a consistent on-air presence, ensuring seamless transitions between segments.
- Engage with the audience through social media and other interactive platforms.
- Respond to listener inquiries or feedback during live shows.
Qualifications and Skills
- A degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Media Studies, or a related field.
- Proven experience in programme presentation, news production, and content creation.
- Strong research, scriptwriting, and editing skills.
- Proficiency in operating studio equipment and editing software.
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
