Job Description
- We are seeking a highly analytical, innovative, and detail-oriented Research & Development Officer to support its investment strategy, product development, and market intelligence efforts.
- The ideal candidate will play a critical role in conducting research, analyzing financial markets, and developing new investment products and solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth market research, economic analysis, and industry studies to support investment decisions.
- Gather and analyze data on financial markets, competitors, emerging sectors, and macroeconomic trends.
- Develop research reports, investment insights, whitepapers, and briefing notes for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the design, development, and enhancement of investment products (mutual funds, wealth products, structured products, etc.).
- Collaborate with the Fund Management and Business Development teams to create innovative investment solutions.
- Monitor regulatory developments and industry changes that impact investment products and strategies.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify market opportunities and evaluate product feasibility.
- Assist in portfolio review exercises, risk analysis, and performance attribution as required.
- Maintain research databases, dashboards, and models for continuous analytics.
- Participate in presentations and strategy sessions, providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Investment Management, or related fields.
- 5 –10 years experience in investment research, data analysis, product development, or similar roles in an investment or financial institution.
- Strong analytical, research, and quantitative skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and data-analysis tools.
- Familiarity with financial markets, asset classes, and investment products.
- Excellent report-writing, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving ability.
