Salary Range: ?150,000 -?200,000

Reports to: Sales Lead

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Closer/Community Engagement Specialist to join our growth-focused team at I-Train Africa. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on closing deals and building online community relationships that drive customer retention and advocacy.

You will play a dual role handling high-conversion sales conversations while also managing and engaging communities on our lead nurturing  platforms, where many of our prospects and learners interact daily.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Closing:

  • Follow up with warm leads and convert them into paying customers (via DMs, calls, and voice notes).
  • Conduct tailored product/program demos and consultative sales calls.
  • Manage a robust sales pipeline using CRM tools and follow-up systems.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly conversion targets.
  • Handle objections professionally and close high-ticket programs confidently.

Community Engagement:

  • Manage and engage I-Train Africa’s lead and prospect communities.
  • Spark meaningful conversations, respond to inquiries, and provide timely updates.
  • Share success stories, testimonials, offers, and program updates to keep communities warm and ready to convert.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and social teams to improve lead nurturing through community touchpoints.
  • Monitor group activity, provide feedback, and suggest community growth strategies.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Proven experience in high-ticket or consultative selling.
  • Strong understanding of online communities and social listening.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (especially for voice notes, texts, and chats).
  • Objection handling, negotiation, and persuasive closing skills.
  • CRM and lead tracking tool proficiency (e.g., HubSpot, Zoho CRM, Trello).
  • Familiarity with WhatsApp Business, Telegram, and community automation tools.
  • Basic knowledge of sales funnels, email sequences, and landing pages.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience in sales, telesales, or customer engagement.
  • Experience managing digital communities is highly desirable.
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or communication is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet sales targets in a hybrid work model.
