Job Description
- We are looking for a talented and experienced security consultant.
- The Security Consultant will assess, develop, and implement security strategies to safeguard an organization’s information, assets, and systems from potential threats.
- The role involves conducting security audits, identifying vulnerabilities, and providing solutions to enhance security measures.
- The Security Consultant will work closely with IT teams, management, and clients to ensure that all security practices comply with industry standards and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular security assessments, audits, and vulnerability tests to identify weaknesses in systems, networks, and applications.
- Analyze existing security policies, processes, and controls to ensure they meet industry standards and compliance requirements.
- Develop comprehensive security strategies and frameworks to address identified security gaps.
- Propose and implement security tools, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems (IDS) to protect organizational data and assets.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and trends, advising on changes that may affect the organization's security posture.
- Stay informed about the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and technology trends to advise the organization proactively.
- Identify, assess, and prioritize security vulnerabilities within the organization's systems.
- Collaborate with development teams to fix identified security flaws and vulnerabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security consulting.
- Hands-on experience in conducting security audits, risk assessments, and penetration testing.
- Proven experience in implementing security policies and frameworks across various systems.
- Strong understanding of network security, application security, cloud security, and data protection.
- Familiarity with security tools and technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), encryption, SIEM, and anti-malware tools.
- Proficiency in penetration testing tools (e.g., Burp Suite, Kali Linux, Metasploit).
- Knowledge of cryptography techniques and tools.
