Job Overview

  • We are seeking an experienced Security Officer to lead our efforts in protecting our organization's information systems, networks, data, and network security infrastructure.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, risk management, network security technologies, and compliance within the fintech industry.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive security policies, procedures, and protocols
  • Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and risk analysis to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions
  • Monitor and analyze security alerts, events, and incidents to ensure timely and effective response
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure secure design, development, and deployment of fintech applications
  • Manage and oversee access control systems, ensuring proper user authentication and authorization
  • Conduct security training and awareness programs for employees to promote a culture of security within the organization
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS)
  • Respond to and investigate security breaches, incidents, and other threats, providing detailed reports and recommendations for improvement
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies

Network Security Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement network security measures to prevent unauthorized access, detect threats, and respond to incidents
  • Configure and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection systems, VPNs, and other network security devices
  • Develop and implement network segmentation strategies to isolate sensitive areas
  • Conduct network vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
  • Monitor network activity to identify potential security threats
  • Collaborate with incident response teams to respond to security incidents
  • Develop and maintain network security policies and procedures

Specifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a security-focused role, preferably within the fintech industry
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, protocols, and best practices
  • Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, encryption, and endpoint protection
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001)
  • Strong knowledge of network security technologies and protocols (e.g. firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, etc.)
  • Experience with network architecture and design
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or similar are highly desirable
  • Good knowledge of AWS technologies and Linux is a plus.
