We are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to drive growth and expand our presence within the banking and IT sectors.
The ideal candidate will have a unique blend of experience in business development within the banking sector, coupled with a deep understanding of IT solutions and services.
This role will focus on building strategic partnerships, identifying new business opportunities, and increasing revenue streams across our IT service offerings.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute business development strategies to expand the company's footprint in both the IT and banking sectors.
Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through networking, partnerships, and direct client engagements.
Leverage existing networks within the banking sector to introduce our IT solutions and value-added services.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored IT solutions that meet client-specific requirements.
Lead the preparation and presentation of proposals, contracts, and service offerings to prospective clients.
Foster strong, long-lasting relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and long-term partnerships.
Stay informed on emerging trends, technologies, and competitive developments within the banking and IT industries.
Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and insights to senior management.
Oversee and mentor junior business development staff to align with company growth objectives.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, Information Technology, or a related field. MBA or professional certifications are a plus.
5 - 10 years of experience in business development, with a blend of experience in the banking sector and IT services.
Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and successfully closing large-scale deals.
Strong understanding of IT solutions, including communications, integration, cloud services, and managed services.
Extensive network within the banking industry, with a demonstrated ability to engage C-level executives. (Compulsory).
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
Must reside in Port Harcourt, with a willingness to travel as needed.
