As Senior Data Engineer/Consultant your responsibilities will be to:
Data Pipeline Development
- Design and implement scalable and reliable ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
- Automate data pipelines tensure seamless integration of various data sources.
Database Management
- Develop and maintain optimized databases and data warehouses.
- Ensure data security, compliance, and backup protocols are in place.
Data Quality Assurance
- Establish robust mechanisms for data validation and cleansing.
- Conduct regular audits tmaintain high data quality and integrity.
Collaboration and Support
- Work closely with data analysts, product managers, and software developers.
- Provide technical support for data-related queries and challenges.
Performance Optimization
- Monitor and improve data infrastructure performance.
- Troubleshoot issues related tdata storage, processing, and retrieval.
Documentation and Reporting
- Have the capacity tidentify, isolate and list out relevant insights from large data sets
- Be conversant with the latest artificial intelligence tools and trends with regards tdata mining (Data Science)
- Document data workflows, architecture, and processes.
- Generate reports and insights taid strategic decision-making.
Recruitment and Team Building
- Recruit, onboard, and manage a team of data analysts and analytics professionals.
- Define roles and responsibilities for the analytics team tensure project success.
- Provide mentorship, training, and performance feedback tteam members.
You’d be a good fit if you:
- Possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years in data engineering, Data Analysis or related roles.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL and database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
- Strong experience with Microsoft Power Platform (e.g PowerBI, Power Apps, Power Pages, Fabric)
- Experience with data pipeline tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, AWS Glue, or similar).
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Experience with big data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent teamwork skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and efficiency.
- Experience working with executive blue chip clients - Excellent
- verbal/written communication, and appearance is a requirement for this role.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Knowledge of machine learning frameworks for predictive analytics.
- Familiarity with government or social program data systems is a plus.
