About the Role:
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Statistician to oversee and drive the statistical analysis for our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) rating and analysis project. In this role, you will lead a team in developing data-driven insights that support ESG decision-making for our organization. You will work closely with key stakeholders to manage data collection, perform statistical modeling, and ensure data integrity across the project. This role is critical in driving the accuracy of ESG metrics, reporting, and strategic analysis for sustainability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of statistical models and analytical techniques to support ESG ratings and financial analysis.
- Oversee the collection, organization, and management of large datasets, ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Collaborate with research, data collection, and analysis teams to derive actionable insights from ESG data.
- Create and maintain databases for tracking ESG performance indicators, using industry-standard tools and software.
- Develop and automate reports and dashboards for visualization of ESG metrics using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative data related to environmental impact, social responsibility, and corporate governance.
- Provide clear, concise, and actionable reporting and presentations to stakeholders and leadership.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to ESG analysis.
- Mentor and guide junior statisticians and analysts on data modeling, statistical techniques, and project deliverables.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in statistical analysis, data management, and visualization, preferably within ESG, financial analysis, or sustainability projects.
- Strong proficiency in core statistical software (R, Python, SPSS) and experience with database management tools (SQL, MS SQL, BigQuery).
- Proven experience in creating interactive dashboards and visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Solid knowledge of statistical techniques such as regression analysis, hypothesis testing, predictive modeling, and time series analysis.
- Ability to work with large datasets and complex data environments, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate data-driven insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Experience leading or mentoring a team of statisticians or analysts is a plus.
- Passionate about sustainability and ESG principles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in ESG rating, sustainability projects, or financial analysis.
- Knowledge of machine learning techniques and their applications in data analysis.
- Familiarity with relevant ESG frameworks and standards (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD, etc.).
