Job Description

  • We seek a highly skilled and motivated Software Tester Tutor to join our team and help aspiring software testers develop the necessary skills to excel in their careers. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks and a passion for teaching and mentoring students. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons, providing guidance on real-world testing scenarios, and helping students achieve proficiency in manual and automated testing.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and Deliver Curriculum: Create and deliver comprehensive software testing courses covering both manual and automated testing techniques, ensuring students grasp key concepts and industry best practices.
  • Teach Testing Tools & Methodologies: Provide instruction on popular testing tools (e.g., Appium, Selenium, JIRA, Postman, etc.) and testing frameworks while ensuring students understand core testing methodologies like functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
  • Hands-on Learning: Guide students through practical exercises and real-life testing projects, ensuring they gain hands-on experience in test case development, bug reporting, and defect tracking.
  • Provide Mentorship and Support: Offer one-on-one tutoring and mentoring sessions to address individual student needs, answer questions, and guide testing challenges.
  • Assess Progress and Provide Feedback: Regularly evaluate student progress through assignments, projects, and assessments, offering constructive feedback to help them improve.
  • Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and tools in the software testing industry and incorporate them into the curriculum.
  • Foster a Collaborative Learning Environment: Encourage active participation in class discussions, group activities, and peer-to-peer collaboration to create an engaging learning experience.

Requirements, Skills & Qualifications

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in software testing (manual and automated).
  • Prior experience in teaching, mentoring, or training is highly preferred.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in testing tools such as Selenium, JIRA, TestNG, Postman, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, etc.).
  • Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall testing environments.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping others succeed.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and relatable manner.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Must have a minimum of MSc
